Mun Moo Kwan (MMK) is Korean and literally translates to “Knowledge Body Gymnasium”.

Since 1969, MMK has been offering quality martial arts training in traditional Taekwondo, supplemented with Hapkido, joint locking techniques, and JayChaks, telescoping Nunchakus.

MMK's students comprise men, women and children of all ages, sizes and abilities, and children are MMK's specialty.

Mun Moo Kwan’s Philosophy

MMK's philosophy of Taekwondo is simple - become a better human being, in every aspect.

Traditional Taekwondo accomplishes this by training mind, body and spirit. The mind rules the body, and before a Taekwondoist can perform at his/her maximum, they must learn to control their mind.

Mun Moo Kwan’s Goals

MMK’s primary goal is for all of its students to become “champions in life”, as well as martial arts champions. To this end, MMK students are taught to respect everyone and everything.

For over two thousand years, Taekwondo has been used to teach respect toward oneself and toward others. This respect is keynote in the development of a Taekwondoist discipline and character.
